For small businesses within the program’s published usage threshold, a no-cost assessment may be available. We confirm the assessment route rather than assuming every building follows the same path.
If your bill lists Newton Power Choice or Direct Energy as the supplier, Eversource can still be your delivery utility. Newton’s community electricity program explains that distinction. Bring both utility bills and the existing heating-system information; supplier choice alone is not an eligibility decision.
Leasing a storefront? Include the landlord in the discussion about outdoor-unit placement, roof or wall access, electrical work, and permitted installation hours. The proposal should make those responsibilities clear.

Answers before a quote
A qualifying existing-building commercial project may be eligible. Newton is generally Eversource electric territory, but eligibility also depends on the account serving the building, the system being replaced, equipment, project type, and program approval. We verify the route before work begins.

Newton Power Choice buys electricity supply for participating residents and businesses; Eversource still delivers and bills for electricity. A different supplier name on the bill does not by itself establish or remove Mass Save® eligibility. Have the electric and gas account details and existing heating fuel ready for the project review.
No. NEIF publishes subsidized rates for specific qualifying Eversource program categories, sometimes through reduced incentives. National Grid has a separate on-bill repayment route. Neither establishes a universal offer for a heat-pump upgrade. The utility or lender must confirm your eligibility and current terms in writing.
Record the affected rooms, existing equipment, landlord permissions, electrical capacity, and workable installation hours. Advanced Ductless evaluates heat-pump replacements; we do not repair systems installed by another company. Shop air conditioning is separate from freezer or refrigeration equipment, which needs its own service provider.
